Why does the app need Screen Time permission?

Mindful Shift uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls and DeviceActivity) to monitor app usage and deliver mindful interruptions. This permission is required to detect when you've hit your time limit and show the shield. No usage data leaves your device.

The shield isn't appearing — what do I do?

Make sure Screen Time permission is granted in Settings → Screen Time, and that you've selected apps to monitor in the Config tab. Shields require a physical device — they don't work in the iOS Simulator. There is also a minimum ~15 second latency built into the Apple API before a shield triggers.

How do I restore my purchase?

On the Account tab, tap "Restore Purchases." Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID and will restore automatically as long as you're signed into the same account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone and cancel from there. Apple manages all billing — we don't store any payment information.

My notifications aren't showing up.

Make sure notifications are enabled for Mindful Shift in Settings → Notifications. Also check that Quiet Hours aren't active in the app's Config tab during the times you expect pings.
