Mindful Shift ("the app", "we", "us") is a mindfulness and screen time management application for iPhone. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding information — or more accurately, the lack thereof.

2. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Mindful Shift does not require an account, does not connect to any server, and does not transmit any information off your device.

Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Health or biometric data
• Financial information

3. Data Stored on Your Device

Mindful Shift stores the following data locally on your device only, using Apple's standard iOS storage (CoreData and UserDefaults):

• Your custom reminder text and preferences
• Monitoring configuration (selected apps, time thresholds, mode)
• Quiet hours settings
• Tag preferences for mindful phrase personalization

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

4. Screen Time & Family Controls

Mindful Shift uses Apple's FamilyControls and DeviceActivity frameworks to provide screen time monitoring features. These frameworks operate entirely within Apple's system and do not expose app usage data to us. We cannot see which apps you monitor or how you use your device.

Family Controls authorization is granted through Apple's system prompt and is managed by iOS, not by Mindful Shift.

5. Purchases & Subscriptions

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive, store, or process any payment information. For questions about billing, please contact Apple Support.

6. Third-Party Services

Mindful Shift uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party framework used is Apple's own StoreKit for purchase processing.

7. Children's Privacy

Mindful Shift does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. As we collect no data from any users, we are compliant with COPPA and similar regulations by design.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. We will not retroactively change practices for data already collected — because we have none.
